  • The average life expectancy in western culture has increases significantly in the last 50 years
  • The longest unambiguously documented lifespan is that of a French woman who lived 122 yrs. (1875-1997)!
  • An American turns 50 every 7 seconds!
  • There are over 450 million Baby Boomers worldwide and over 75 million in the United States alone!
  • By the year 2010 the market for anti-aging products will be $16 BILLION!

With statistics like that, it's no surprise we are a society focused...no obsessed with anti-aging products, treatments and thankfully, more and more on wellness and prevention.

  • TV Shows like Nip/Tuck and Extreme Makeovers are helping to drive consumers into the skin center looking for non-invasive alternatives to surgical procedures.
  • $11.5 Billion was spent on cosmetic procedures in 2006
  • Aging global Baby Boomers are becoming obsessed about state-of-the-art technology in their skin care products because they expect more.
  • Most new cosmeceutical brands tend to focus on the importance of one key ingredient as the "miracle worker" in their products with often misleading claims and insufficient instruction for overall skin health. With such heavy emphasis on ingredients, consumers are more and more confused about what actually works and how due to so many conflicting messages from manufacturers.
